Rijeka Crnoievica

Rijeka Crnojevića is one of the most charming and peaceful places I’ve visited in Montenegro. The small town is surrounded by green hills and sits right on the banks of the river, which flows gently into Skadarsko Jezero. The views are stunning – the old stone bridge, traditional houses, and calm water create a scene that feels like stepping back in time. A boat trip from Rijeka Crnojevića is a must. You glide through water covered with lilies, see countless bird species, and enjoy complete silence except for nature around you. It’s the perfect spot for relaxation, photography, or just slowing down and enjoying life. The town itself is tiny but full of character. There are a few local restaurants where you can try fresh fish and homemade specialties, often served with local wine. People are warm and welcoming, and everything feels very authentic – not touristy, but real Montenegro. If you are visiting Skadarsko Jezero, don’t miss Rijeka Crnojevića. It’s a place where history, nature, and local tradition come together beautifully. I would recommend arriving early in the morning or late in the afternoon to experience its true peaceful charm.

Stunning picturesque location, beautiful old bridge, good restaurants by the river. The place is so tranquil and relaxing, it offers a wonderful break after a long drive. It is certainly worth driving there.

The easiest way to take a boat tour on the lake. Great restaurants, a bridge, lovely scenic roads and amazing views make this area fantastic! The village is super cute too.
