Privacy

This is a small, non-commercial guide. We want to collect as little about you as we can. This page explains, in plain words, what happens when you visit.

The short version

No accounts, no bookings, no payments. You can read every page without telling us who you are.
Analytics load only if you say yes.
If you write to us, we use your message only to reply. We never sell or share it.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Tag Manager (container GTM-5M2J7TKJ) to load analytics. Analytics help us count visits and see which pages people read. Nothing loads until you accept in the consent banner. We use Google Consent Mode v2, which is set to “denied” by default. If you say no, or simply ignore the banner, the analytics do not run.

You can change your choice at any time. Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page.

The contact form

The same form is used to ask a question, suggest a correction or ask for a business listing. It sends your name, your email address and your message to info@rijeka-crnojevica.me. The email is delivered by an email service called Resend. We use these details only to reply to you. We do not add you to any mailing list, and we never share or sell your details.

Business details, such as a phone number or a website, appear in the directory only after the owner has confirmed them.

Spam protection

The form has a hidden field that people never see, but spam robots often fill in. This trick is called a honeypot. When it is switched on, Cloudflare Turnstile also checks that a real person is sending the form.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel keeps technical server logs of requests, such as your IP address and the page you asked for. This is part of normal hosting and helps keep the site running and safe.

Weather, map, fonts and search

Weather: the weather strip asks Open-Meteo for the weather in the village, straight from your browser. It does not ask for your location. Open-Meteo sees no personal data beyond your IP address, as with any web request.
Map: the map shows a still picture first. It loads map tiles from a map service only when you click to open it.
Fonts: our fonts are stored on this site, so no outside font service sees your visit.
Search: search works inside your browser, using files from this site.
