Boat trips
Over a hundred years ago, steamers left the village for Virpazar and Skadar. Today smaller boats carry visitors down the same river.
Almost everything here starts at the water's edge. Pick one thing, or put two together in a day.
You can take a boat trip down the river towards the lake, or paddle a kayak or SUP at your own pace. On foot, you can follow the Obod eco-trail or walk to the cave where the river begins. Bring binoculars for birdwatching: about 280 bird species have been recorded at Skadar Lake. With a permit you can go fishing. And in the Crmnica region and at Lipovac, in Građani, you can go wine tasting.
The village lies inside Skadar Lake National Park, so some activities have official fees and rules. Read about the national park before you go. To learn what lives on the river, start with the nature page.
